Post Race Report - 2024 Sebring

Sebring SpeedTour / Sebring, FL

Sebring kicked off the 2024 Cube3 Architecture TA2 series season. Arriving at the track after just testing there last month, Cale looked to put that seat time to use and start the season off on the right foot.

The car setup was pretty good right off the truck, but the crew from Nitro Motorsports was able to do some fine tuning, and Cale was able to pickup speed each time he went out. After qualifying was complete for the 38 car field, Cale found himself in the 28th starting position overall, and 7th in the ProAm class.

During the 27 lap race, Cale was able to avoid a few incidents, and make up several spots. He was fighting for a class podium position at lap 15, when he felt something break in the rear of the car coming out of turn 13. The part failure turned out to be a broken left rear shock, which ended his race early, as Cale was forced to pull off track.

“Well not the start to the season we were hoping for. I feel like we were in a good spot just past halfway through the race. I managed to pass a handful of cars and worked my way up into podium contention for the ProAm class. Unfortunate to have a part break, but that is racing, and I know the Nitro Motorsports guys will get it fixed up. This is such a tough a race track, on both the car and driver, but it hurts to not be able to finish the race. Looking forward to going to Road Atlanta next month. I had to miss that race last year, so excited to finally drive this car there.”

The next race for Cale is the Mission Foods Road Atlanta SpeedTour at Road Atlanta in Braselton Georgia March 21-23.
